Hi my name is Karl , I live in England and run the 2015> Vitara forum vivavitara.com

I have travelled Assietta, Jafferau, Tunnel Du Parpaillon and Sommelier in a Grand Vitara in 2013 but at the end of August I plan to visit salon 4x4 in Valloire France then head south into Italy to travel the LGKS near Col De Tende

Does anyone have experience of that area and routes? is it possible to drive these routes in a Sedici/SX4 and if so can I drive it in a 2015 Vitara with the following modifications...

SUZUKI VITARA 1.6 PETROL SZ5 RUGGED PACK ALLGRIP
215/60R16 YOKOHAMA GEOLANDAT AT-S G012
RIVAL FRONT SKID PLATE
SCUT REAR DIFF GUARD

Carmine thank you so much for your reply, your trip report is exactly what I was looking for :thumbup1.gif:

In Italy is wild camping allowed or do you need to stay on campsites?

I read you need to buy a permit , can you buy on the day or would you advise buying in advance?

You can see pictures of my Alps tours by Grand Vitara and Moto here...

Hallo, here are the informations for the ticket payement's and regulation www.limoneturismo.it/pagina.php?id=76&lang=ita ,but is in italian...

A part of the track, from "Bosco delle Navette" few km after Monesi to "La Cabanera" near Col di Tenda is open at ticket payement' from 8:00AM to 18:00PM to July at september, exclude lunday and thuesday that is closed.

The ticket costs 15 euro for car, it's possible buy it on site BUT will pass only 80 car for day.
If you, alone or whit few other car, pass from gate first morning (before 11:00AM), you dont'have problem to buy the ticket (brought the exact cash) and to pass.

For the free camping ...i dont'knew exactly but i think that itsn't problem if you camp near traks.

By te forum, at the end of the response form's, it's "a box" with which post one attachment, post whit that your GPX track's, or tracks in another format.

Regards.

Hi Karl, in Italy, normally, the wild camping is allowed in the mountain rural areas, but only if there are no campsites.

EasyRider16, thank you for the camping information, I am a believer in camping wild but leaving next day without a trace
